Descripción completa del producto

No importa el cuidado con el que se manipule la gasolina o el diésel, la contaminación, en forma de suciedad, barro o agua, siempre acabará entrando en el depósito de combustible. Hoy en día, en que los motores modernos inyectan combustible a más de 36 000 psi (2500 bar) y las tolerancias del inyector se miden en micras, incluso una pequeña cantidad de suciedad o corrosión por agua puede dañar los componentes, reducir la eficiencia del motor y, en los casos más graves, romper por completo el inyector.

Los separadores de agua con filtros de combustible de la serie Spin-on de Racor ofrecen la máxima protección para los motores de gasolina y diésel modernos mediante la eliminación efectiva de contaminantes del combustible; como el agua, el sílice, la arena, la suciedad y el óxido. El cabezal de montaje y el cuerpo del filtro están protegidos por un revestimiento en polvo, duradero y de aplicación electroestática para conseguir una resistencia superior a la corrosión. El diseño único de filtro enroscable facilita el mantenimiento y cuenta con una cazoleta de recogida de contaminantes, de plástico o metal, transparente, reutilizable y con drenaje de autoventeo o conector metálico.

Hay disponible de forma opcional una bomba de cebado integral para modelos de filtro diésel, pero no se recomienda para modelos de gasolina. La bomba facilita el cebado y simplifica el mantenimiento al eliminar el engorroso prellenado del filtro y los problemas de arranque del motor. Los modelos diésel también están disponibles con calentadores de combustible opcionales para garantizar las prestaciones en entornos extremadamente fríos.

Todos los separadores de agua con filtros de combustible de la serie Spin-on utilizan medios con diseño Aquabloc® de alta eficiencia de Racor, que repelen el agua y eliminan los contaminantes sólidos del combustible con una eficiencia del 98 % de su valor de filtración (micras). Con el objetivo de cumplir los requisitos únicos de los motores de los clientes, hay disponibles a la venta tres valores de filtración (micras) diferentes, entre los que se incluyen:

30 micras (98 % a 30 micras): equipado con un prefiltro para proteger los filtros aguas abajo del exceso de contaminación. Aumenta la vida de los filtros en el motor.

10 micras (98 % a 10 micras): captura más contaminantes que los elementos de 30 micras y es más efectivo a la hora de detener el agua. Aumenta la vida de todo el sistema de combustible.

"2" micras (98 % a 4 micras): ofrece una filtración y extracción de agua máxima, y es capaz de proteger todos los sistemas de inyección modernos, a la vez que aumenta enormemente la vida de los filtros en el motor a los que es difícil acceder.

Cómo funciona:

Los separadores de agua con filtros de combustible de la serie Spin-on de Racor utilizan medios Aquabloc® para eliminar la suciedad y el agua del diésel y la gasolina de forma fiable. El medio Aquabloc® está plisado, corrugado y diseñado para conseguir un alto rechazo del agua y una larga vida útil. El combustible que entra en la cabeza del filtro se divide aguas abajo al pasar por los pliegues de los medios verticales, lo que permite que las gotas de agua y las partículas contaminantes más grandes se caigan directamente en la cazoleta de recogida. Las gotas de agua más pequeñas convergen y se fusionan en la superficie especialmente tratada del medio hasta que sean lo suficientemente grandes para caer en el recipiente de recogida. Las partículas de contaminación pequeñas se detienen en la superficie del medio Aquabloc®, mientras que las partículas aún más pequeñas se retienen en capas más profundas. Esto da como resultado un suministro de combustible limpio y seco al motor.

Notas sobre el uso:

• No se recomiendan las bombas de cebado manual para aplicaciones de gasolina.
• Los filtros de gasolina utilizados en ubicaciones cerradas deben contar con una cazoleta metálica.
• Las cazoletas transparentes de los sistemas de gasolina son un elemento de inspección rutinaria: Realice inspecciones frecuentes en busca de daños, deformaciones y decoloraciones, y sustitúyalos si es necesario.
• Los calentadores y las sondas de agua NO deben utilizarse en aplicaciones de gasolina.

Notas sobre la selección:

Siga los pasos que se indican a continuación para asegurarse de seleccionar el filtro correcto de la serie Spin-on:

1. Elija el tipo de montaje (hay un modelo de filtro pequeño disponible como unidad en línea).

2. Elija el tipo de calentador "clima frío" o ninguno. Los calentadores eléctricos se utilizan para calentar combustible estático como ayuda inicial y podrían no suministrar suficiente flujo de combustible para una operación de carga completa. Los filtros con calentadores de refrigerante pueden calentar y suministrar combustible con un flujo total para el funcionamiento del motor con carga completa. NO deben utilizarse calentadores en aplicaciones de gasolina.

3. Seleccione el caudal total a través del sistema de combustible (gpm o lpm).

4. Elija el material de la cazoleta: plástico de ingeniería o aleación de aluminio. El aluminio está previsto para aplicaciones de gasolina en lugares cerrados y ubicaciones con altas temperaturas.

5. Elija la función de cebado manual o ninguna. La bomba de cebado de tipo núcleo se acciona verticalmente de forma manual, como un pistón, y no tiene membrana. La bomba de cebado de tipo botón se acciona con la palma de la mano y cuenta con una membrana.

6. Si está disponible, elija el tipo de cazoleta: estándar o profundo. Los filtros 6120/4120 y 6125/4125 tienen unas prestaciones idénticas, pero las unidades 6120/4120 cuentan con cazoletas profundas de alta capacidad. Los filtros 6125/4125 utilizan la cazoleta de la serie 400/600.

7. Elija el valor de filtración (micras).

8. Elija el tamaño del puerto: estándar de EE. UU. o métrico, si está disponible.

Ventajas:

• Ofrece una eliminación excepcional del agua que entra en el sistema a través de la condensación en el depósito de combustible. Cualquier agua presente en la corriente de combustible favorece el desarrollo de bacterias, que pueden provocar que los filtros se atasquen y que se formen ácidos corrosivos. Componentes propensos a corrosión y oxidación que generan erosión y desgaste de componentes críticos del sistema de combustible.
• Elimina las partículas sólidas presentes en el aire que se introducen durante el repostaje como, por ejemplo, arena y sílice.
• Evita daños costosos en el inyector y aumenta la vida útil de los filtros aguas abajo.
• Permite ahorrar tiempo y dinero al eliminar el mantenimiento y los tiempos de inactividad no planeados causados por fallos de los componentes del sistema.
• El medio Aquabloc® de alta eficiencia ayuda a los motores diésel de OEM a cumplir las estrictas normas de emisión gubernamentales.
