Full Product Description

Parker Aerospace water and waste supply hoses have unique design features that adapt to fit aircraft applications, reducing weight and cost. These hoses are field proven for over 20 years without issues or incidents.

They are custom designed and typically one-inch outer diameter (OD), but range from half to two inch inner diameter (ID) hoses with lengths that vary from as short as 12 inches and up to several feet long. The hoses may have a variety of connectors or end fittings custom to the application, including those meeting SAE AS1708 and AS4395 specifications.

The flexible tubing can be made with or without insulation and heaters (electrical resistive heater affixed to jacket and swaddled in insulation), as dictated by location in the aircraft (climate-controlled galley versus other areas which are not climate controlled).

Made of inner PerFluoroAlkoxy (PFA) tubing, silicone outer tube, and surrounded by layered wire braiding, the materials are flame retardant, stable, and flexible. PFA is a type of fluoropolymer that is similar to fluorinated ethylene propylene (FEP) and PolyTetraFluoroEthylene (PTFE), however PFA has better mechanical properties than PTFE and more flex life than FEP. PFA offers greater stability at high temperatures, while it reduces stress-related breakdown and maintains a low coefficient of friction.

APPLICATIONS:
This technology is used on water management systems on aircraft such as regional and business jets.
