The Parker Prädifa V1 Ultrathan® O-ring is an alternative to conventional rubber elastomer O-rings. Due to the extrusion resistance of the polyurethane compounds, there is no need to use a back-up ring at higher or pulsating pressures. By eliminating the need for back-up rings the required width of the groove is reduced.
Due to its high wear resistance, a polyurethane O-ring is also suitable for dynamic pneumatics applications. Very good results have been achieved, for instance, in pneumatic valves for sealing pilot and main control pistons.
