A bent tube assembly is a fluid conveyance (skydrol and other hydraulic fluid, oil, fuel, and air) custom designed, specifically bent for the engine or airframe where it is installed.
Bent tube assembly is a smooth inside diameter (ID) and smooth outside diameter (OD) metal tubing with fittings custom-bent to fit into the configuration required by the application. They convey fluids such as skydrol and other hydraulic fluid, oil, fuel, and air (as in pneumatic systems).Designed and manufactured by Parker Aerospace, these tube assemblies are commonly used in aerospace, military, and derivative markets. Bent tube assemblies are typically made of corrosion resistant stainless steel (CRES), but can be made of high nickel (Inconel 625 and 718) or titanium alloy if the application requires the added temperature performance or reduced weight. Titanium tube is approximately 33 percent lighter than an equivalent CRES tube.APPLICATIONS: This technology is used on hydraulic, fuel, environmental control, and pneumatic systems, plus is also used on landing gear and engines. They are custom designed to the engine or airframe application in all types of aircraft.FEATURES AND ATTRIBUTES: • Materials provide strength and toughness as required, temperature and pressure to meet application requirements• Tested in accordance with DO-160 per customer requirements (e.g., fungus, low-cycle fatigue, high-cycle fatigue, vibration)• In-house testingOPTIONAL FEATURES: b• Custom features may include X-ray inspected welded fittings to accommodate higher pressures• Unique custom fittings to match application attachment points
