Full Product Description

The seals of the warp seal product family are suitable for static and, to a limited extent, also for dynamic sealing in applications with large axial, radial and/or angular misalignment within a wide tolerance range. Covering a wide range of tolerances allows for easy assembly of the various components of a system without major design or functional limitations.

Depending on the application and tolerance range, there are different variants to choose from:

  • Due to its small size, the V-Warp Seal is suitable for small grooves with low tolerance compensation requirements. It is easy to install, even into closed grooves. Using this seal design, depending on the dimensions, tolerances of +/- 0.5 mm (and even more in the case of larger seal dimensions) can be compensated for effectively.
  • The M-Warp seal is designed for compensation of larger tolerances in the various axial directions. Depending on the dimensions, it can equalize tolerances of +/- 1 mm (and even more in the case of larger seal dimensions). In this case, an open groove is recommended. The possible integration of back-up rings increases the assembly and functional safety in the application and prevents unintentional disassembly of the seal due to higher deformations or application pressures.
  • The S-Warp seal is intended for compensation of very large tolerances. Its bellows-like structure, combined with reinforced press fit and the resulting possibility of a simple deformation of the seal, enable a maximum offset in the various axial directions of the components to be sealed. When using an open groove, tolerance or axial offsets of several millimeters can be equalized and sealed effectively.

The robust design of the Warp Seal product family is suitable for tough operating conditions and reliably seals housing feedthroughs or plug connections, for example. Due to the application-optimized sealing compounds, the Warp Seals exhibit excellent media resistance.

Product Benefits:

  • Compensation of large axial and radial misalignment
  • Compensation of angular misalignment
  • High temperature resistance in case of suitable compound selection
  • Excellent media resistance in case of suitable compound selection
  • Easy installation
  • Increased assembly safety when using integrated back-up rings

Range of Application:

Sealing of port connections and feedthroughs of all kinds in housings with large axial, radial or angular tolerance.
