PRO - PRN hi rotor rotary vane actuator offers a range of 9 sizes in single or double (with double effective torque) vane versions. The PRN High Torque offers angle of 90° 180° and 270° and PRO offers adjustable angle rotation.

Full Product Description

PRO - PRN rotary vane actuators are an efficient and easy way to generate rotational torque from compressed air. With a range of 9 pneumatic units in single or double vane versions (with double effective torque) and an operating temperature range of -5°C to 80°C (PRN range -5°C to +60°C). A solid vane shaft and built-in damper are combined with a unique sealing design that minimises leakages to ensure that even at low speeds and operating pressures oscillations are smooth and stable. The series has a choice of two oscillation reference points of 45° and 90° and three oscillating angles of 90° 180° and 270°. Rotary actuators with variable oscillating angle are shipped with a fixed reference point stopper. The angle setting stopper is attached but not fixed. This must be fixed securely before use and sets the oscillation angle to the exact requirement. For the PRN high torque models from PRN50 and higher, units for high energy applications are able to operate at much greater loads with the addition of an optional hydro-cushion unit (CRN). These cushions should be used when the inertial energy exceeds the allowable energy of the PRN rotary actuator.
Installation can be either direct mounting or with the optional foot or flange plates and the addition of sensor switch units allows for rotational position detection. PRO - PRN hi rotor actuators are ideal suited for compact applications in a wide range of industries such as, packaging, process, electronics etc.

Operating and Environmental Data:
 • Operating Medium : For best possible service life and trouble-free operation dry, filtered compressed air to ISO 8573-1:2010 quality class 3.4.3 should be used. This specifies a dew point of +3°C for indoor operation (a lower dew point should be selected for minus temperature operation and we recommend the use of an inline dryer) and is in line with the air quality from most standard compressors with a standard filter.
