Edge-bonded Integral Seal™ solutions provide advantages for electric vehicle OEMs and tier suppliers of EV motor, electric control unit, and inverter modules by simplifying complicated processes typically encountered with manually installed homogenous elastomeric seals.

Integral Seal are comprised of an elastomeric sealing element that is chemically bonded and vulcanized to a  metal carrier plate or other rigid substrate. These composite, rubber-to-metal edge-bonded solutions are specifically beneficial for OEMs implementing automation in their assembly operations due to their ability to be highly customized with unique feature benefits that:
  • Aid in installation
  • Reduce likelihood of quality errors where seal installation cannot be visually verified
  • Retain seal resilience and lessen likelihood of damage to modules arising from compromised seal performance or failure due to overcompression from excessive torquing
