The P1P actuator in bore sizes Ø20 to Ø100mm is an ISO 21287 compact cylinder for standard temperature -20°C to +80°C with high and low temperature options suitable for processing, packaging and handling applications.
The P1P Series is a complete range of ISO 21287 compact cylinders with a corrosion resistant design including an anodised aluminium barrel and stainless steel piston rod as standard, developed to meet the highest requirements. Elastic cushioning absorbs residual energy facilitating in smooth, low noise operation enabling high speeds and short cycle times. Proven seal technology and quality materials throughout offer performance, reliability and long service life. Available as double acting and double acting with non rotating piston rod (guided) in bore sizes Ø20 to Ø100mm. Double acting with through rod bores Ø20 to Ø63mm. Single acting spring return (Bores Ø20 - Ø63mm) and single acting spring advance (Bores Ø20 - Ø63mm). With standard temperature -20°C to +80°C, high temperature -10°C to +120°C and low temperature -40°C to +80°C to suit a wide range of environmental applications in processing, packaging and handling.
Compact axial dimensions makes the P1P ISO 21287 cylinder up to 50% shorter than an equivalent ISO 15552 cylinder of the same stroke length. This can be important on machines or product lines when space envelopes are small. Offering many opportunities for mechanical installation there are holes through the cylinder body that can be used with through bolts or female threads on both front and rear plates. A wide range of ISO 15552 cylinder mountings are available for use with P1P cylinders bore 20-100 mm.

General Technical Data:
• International standards : according to ISO 21287
• Bore Sizes : Ø20, Ø25, Ø32, Ø40, Ø50, Ø63, Ø80, and Ø100 mm
• Stroke Length : 1 to 500mm
• Versions : double acting / double acting guided (non-rotating piston rod) / double acting with through rod
single acting, spring return (bores Ø20 - Ø63mm) / single acting, spring advance (bores Ø20 - Ø63mm)
• Cushioning : rubber buffer fixed
• Position sensing : "Drop in" sensors can easily be installed in the recessed grooves located on the side faces, mechanically protecting the sensor that can be located at any position along the piston stroke. Choose between electronic or reed sensors with various cable lengths and 8 mm snap on, M12 threaded or flying lead connection. The low temperature version has a magnetic ring in the piston for proximity sensing (but please note that the sensors are normally specified for full performance down to -25°C only). The high temperature version does not have a magnetic ring in the piston and therefore cannot be used with sensors.
• Installation : directly via through holes or female threaded holes on the front and rear face. A wide range of cylinder mountings in anodised aluminium providing the same overall corrosion resistance.
• Mounting position : any
Operating and Environmental Data:
• Operating Medium : for best possible service life and trouble-free operation dry, filtered compressed air to ISO 8573-1:2010 quality class 3.4.3 should be used. This specifies a dew point of +3°C for indoor operation (a lower dew point should be selected for minus temperature operation and we recommend the use of an inline dryer) and is in line with the air quality from most standard compressors with a standard filter.
• Operating Pressure :
- Double acting:
0.5 to 10 bar (Ø20 - Ø63)
0.3 to 10 bar (Ø80 - Ø100)
- Double acting (Guided):
0.7 to 10 bar (Ø20 - Ø63)
0.5 to 10 bar (Ø80 - Ø100)
- Single acting:
1.5 to 10 bar (Ø20 - Ø40)
1.0 to 10 bar (Ø50 - Ø63)
• Operating Temperature : -20°C to +80°C (standard temperature) / -10°C to +120°C (high temperature) / -40°C to +80°C (low temperature)
• Pre-lubricated : further lubrication is normally not necessary. If additional lubrication is introduced it must be continued.
• Corrosion Resistance : high resistance to corrosion and chemicals. Materials and surface treatment have been selected for industrial applications where solvents and detergents are frequently used.
