Full Product Description

Parker Aerospace’s Gas Turbine Fuel Systems Division has over six decades of experience in the design, development, qualification, and certification of highly engineered aerospace engine fuel injectors (also called fuel spray nozzles) that can be found in the vast majority of aviation engines. Drawing upon a technology database of proven products and processes, advanced engineering, continuous improvement, reliability, and high-sustained performance, Parker Aerospace offers flexible and targeted solutions that result in shorter development time and reduced cost.

The facility that produces the products is ISO 9001 and AS 9100 accredited and NADCAP certified in heat treat, brazing, and fluorescent penetrant inspection. It also offers semi- and fully-automatic TIG welding and CNC-controlled electron beam welding. Analysis capabilities include finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD). The extensive validation and verification test capabilities include:
• Fuel flow test capacity up to 10,000 lbs/hr or 1000 psi
• Air flow capacity up to 800 lbs/hr (Ae= 1.45 in2 @ 20” H2O)
• Vibration testing for low and high cycle fatigue verification, with or without damping and/or fluid loading and simulation up to 20g
• Spray diagnostics and characterization including phase Doppler particle analyzer (PDPA), high-speed videography
• Contamination testing
• Hot and cold fuel testing

APPLICATIONS:
Parker’s aero engine fuel injectors are primarily used in gas turbine engines, but they are also found on auxiliary power units (APUs) for commercial and military aircraft applications from regional jets to wide body aircraft, and fighter jets to military cargo transports. Aeroderivative applications (land and marine) use these injectors as well.
