Descripción completa del producto

Parker's macrospray technology involves a precision manufacturing and assembly processes to produce efficient high-quality sprays in compact scalable packaging. Complex flow geometries that represent discrete cross-sections of a pressure swirl atomizer are chemically machined into metal sheets. Through this process, multiple fluid circuits and flow passages can be produced simultaneously. The individual sheets or ‘macrolaminate layers’ are then joined in a proprietary highly repeatable process that results in a single-monolithic structure with the structural performance of the parent metal.

From a functional perspective, the resulting flow passages operate efficiently by minimizing pressure drop and conserving mechanical energy until the nozzle’s exit orifice. This produces high-quality sprays with relatively low hydraulic pressure only. Unlike competing nozzles, there is no need for compressed air-assistance or high-operating pressures.

Parker’s macrospray technology can be integrated into almost any structure. In a lance configuration, individual macrospray injection points can be joined or embedded into tubes, cones, pipes, bars, or custom protrusions to produce desired sprays. Interfaces would be customer specified and optional filters and/or flow control valves could be incorporated.

APPLICATIONS:
This technology can be used in any application, aviation or otherwise, commercial or military. Examples include fire suppression, emissions control, spray cooling, and inlet fogging and wet compression of gas turbine engines. Macrospray technology is also used in fuel-spray nozzles for aviation gas turbine engines, and contributes to engine emissions reductions resulting in low-smoke, low-NOx, and low-CO emissions.

FEATURES AND ATTRIBUTES:
• High turn-down ratio: 25 to 3000 psi, fully-formed spray at 25 psi
• Performance: uniform spray, free of streaks and voids
• Mean droplet size: approximately 10µm at 1000 psi
• Packaging: compact size, with ability to support multiple fluid circuits per injection point
• High precision manufacturing and assembly processes ensure repeatable, near perfect alignment of flow features
• Efficient flow passages allow for hydraulic pressure alone to produce high quality spray, no need for compressed air-assist to atomize

OPTIONAL FEATURES:
• Integral and replaceable filters
