The P1S actuator in bore sizes Ø10 to Ø63 mm is an ISO 6431 / ISO 6432 stainless steel cylinders with standard temperature of -20°C to +80°C and high temperature options.
P1S stainless steel cylinders have been specially designed for use in particularly demanding food, drink, beverage and harsh environments. This hygienic design with external seals of fluorianted rubber and pre-lubricated with food-industry-approved grease according to USDA-H1 make the cylinders particularly suitable for food industry use. The P1S actuator in bore sizes Ø10 to Ø63 mm is an ISO 6431 / ISO 6432 stainless steel cylinders with standard temperature of -20°C to +80°C and high temperature option.
A version of ISO 6432 Ø10 - Ø25mm incorporates fixed end cushioning, while the cylinders Ø20 - Ø63mm have pneumatic end-cushioning with adjusting screws for precise setting. Adjustable pneumatic cushioning permits greater loads and higher operating speeds, making the cylinder suitable for more demanding applications with shorter cycle times. Fixing dimensions to ISO 6431 / 6432 simplifies installation.
■ ISO 6432:
The ISO 6432 P1S stainless steel round cylinders are available in three versions. Two with fixed end-cushioning in double acting and single-acting spring return versions depending on the bore size. The third has adjustable pneumatic end-cushioning and is available in bores 20 and 25mm diameters.
■ ISO 6431:
The ISO 6431 P1S stainless steel round cylinders are double acting with adjustable pneumatic end-cushioning and are available in bores 32 to 63mm diameters. They are supported by a range of stainless steel mounting options. As with the ISO 6432 cylinders they are designed to comply with hygiene requirements in accordance with the EU Machine Directive. These cylinders can be dismantled to facilitate service and maintenance.
■ High Temperature:
All seals in the high temperature version of P1S are developed and validated for continuous operation up to +150°C. The combination of the seal geometry and the FPM material (Fluorocarbon rubber) ensures reliable and long service life. Certain restrictions apply when choosing sensors due to the temperature range. High temperature cylinders have no magnetic piston and cannot be fitted with sensors (the magnetic field strength in high temperatures is too low to ensure correct reliable sensor function).
Markets:
Food & Beverage
Packaging Machinery
Features/Benefits:
Piston rod, cylinder tube and end covers are all manufactured in stainless steel for improved corosion resistance
End covers have no recesses or other grooves, reducing areas where dirt or liquids can collect ensuring any cleaning required is easy and effective
Pre-lubricated with food-industry-approved grease according to USDA-H1
Range of mountings and sensors
Proven Parker Prädifa seal technology for long performance life
Applications:
Packaging – Moving
Push / pull objects
Sorting, conveying
Change lane, direction
Change level, height
Washdown
General Technical Data:
• International standards: complies with ISO 6431 and ISO 6432 installation dimension standards.
• Bore Sizes: Ø10, Ø12, Ø16, Ø20, Ø25, Ø32, Ø40, Ø50 and Ø63
• Stroke Length: 25 to 1000mm
• Versions:
- double acting
- double acting with through rod Ø20, Ø25
- single acting Ø10 to Ø25mm
• Cushioning:
- rubber buffer fixed Ø10 to Ø25 mm
- adjustable pneumatic Ø20, Ø25, Ø32, Ø40, Ø50 and Ø63
• Position Sensing: cylinders in standard temperature design are fitted with a magnet for proximity position sensing. An optional bracket securely fastens anywhere along the cylinder barrel allowing the mounting of electronic type sensors or reed switches that can be supplied with either flying lead or cable plug connector. The low temperature version has a magnetic ring in the piston for proximity sensing (but please note that the sensors are normally specified for full performance down to -25°C only). The high temperature version does not have a magnetic ring in the piston and therefore cannot be used with sensors.
• Installation: a wide range of cylinder mountings in stainless steel providing the same overall corrosion resistance.
• Mounting Position: any
Operating and Environmental Data:
• Operating Medium : for best possible service life and trouble-free operation dry, filtered compressed air to ISO 8573-1:2010 quality class 3.4.3 should be used. This specifies a dew point of +3°C for indoor operation (a lower dew point should be selected for minus temperature operation and we recommend the use of an inline dryer) and is in line with the air quality from most standard compressors with a standard filter.
• Operating Pressure : 10 Bar maximum
• Operating Temperature :
- standard temperature -20°C to +80°C
- high temperature -10°C to +120°C (Ø10 to Ø16mm)
- high temperature -10°C to +150°C (Ø20 to Ø63mm)
• Pre-lubricated : further lubrication is normally not necessary. If additional lubrication is introduced it must be continued.
• Corrosion Resistance : high resistance to corrosion and chemicals.
