Our APU fuel feed pumps uses 28 V direct current (DC) to drive a high-efficiency DC motor. For brushless DC motor driven pumps, the integral electronic controller uses Hall Effect sensor rotor-position feedback. The electronic controller does not use any software or programmable logic devices.
For cartridge/canister style pumps, the canister is installed on the wet side of the tank with the pump cartridge installed into the canister from the dry side. This allows the element that contains the motor and bearings to be replaced without draining the fuel tank.
Ranging from fuel boost and transfer pumps to hydraulic brake and actuation pumps, potable water pumps, recirculation pumps, and APU fuel feed pumps, Parker Aerospace’s fuel pumps add real power to both military and commercial aircraft. Our brushless, electric DC motor-driven pumps with sensorless or sensor-based electronic controls offer powerful advantages.
FEATURES AND ATTRIBUTES:
• The motor is fuel cooled
• The electronics are located in a dry cavity
• The fuel-wetted carbon bearings allow for long-life fluid film design with no rotating shaft seals
• The pumps use either a high-efficiency brush type motor or a brushless DC motor
• The pumps can be qualified for lightning and electromagnetic interference (EMI)
APPLICATIONS:
• Commercial and regional transports
• Business and general aviation
