Aircraft software is custom designed for each specific aircraft model's hydraulic system, communication protocol, and sensor interfaces. Parker Aerospace is experienced in both integrated modular avionics (IMA) solutions as well as federated systems.

Parker Aerospace is uniquely qualified to provide the software solutions for the hydraulic system controls, indication, and monitoring as well as other controls such as motor controls and actuators. Performance attributes cited by our customer included: technical design, ease of certification, and program management excellence.

Parker’s software team is experienced in overcoming the challenges associated with providing timely and robust solutions in dynamic-development environments where requirements necessarily evolve over the course of the program. The experience and synergy of Parker Aerospace’s in-house systems, hardware, and software teams allows for comprehensive certification of hydraulic system management software.

Parker Aerospace has experience in simulating and validating hydraulic system monitoring and control logic, including fault annunciation. Experience from previous system programs shows that this simulation helps to minimize problems later during iron bird and flight testing. Parker has used SCADE Rapid Prototyper, Excel, LabVIEW, and C++ developed tools.

SCADE Suite from ANSYS is a model-based development environment dedicated to critical embedded software. Parker has more than seven years of experience creating aerospace products using SCADE. Parker uses it to develop major components of the application portion of the software with traditionally generated code to provide hardware and library interfaces as needed.

APPLICATIONS:
Examples of Parker Aerospace software can be found on recent aircraft such as the Boeing 787 (IMA-based hydraulic interface function), the A350 (IMA-based hydraulic monitoring & control application and a federated motor control protection unit) and the ARJ21 (federated hydraulic control logic electronics).

• ANSYS’s SCADE is used in development to allow early testing and prototype of key functions

• A systems and software team that engages the customer and participates in developing requirements
• Capability Maturity Model Maturity level three accreditation
• A history of delivery on schedule and very positive customer responses

OPTIONAL FEATURES:
• Options interface with an onboard-maintenance system
• Can develop within IMA or federated systems
• ARINC-664 or ARINC-429 are common interfaces we use
• Can work with customer requirements or develop the requirements with the customer
