The Parker K04D3 two position three way shuttle valve is a high flow, high pressure directional control valve that senses pressure from the higher of the two input ports and directs the flow to the outlet. With a nominal flow rate of 13 gallons per minute (@ 7 Bar), this valve is commonly used as an automatic brake release valve on motors. With ports 1 and 3 connected to the two respective motor ports, the valve senses the highest pressure and ports this flow out port 2 to release a brake. Parker’s K04D3 is rated for 420 bar (6000 psi) so it can withstand high shock pressures associated with braking circuits. The K04D3 is manufactured with a C10-3 common cavity.
