Parker PGI’s Thermosync® RTD are designed unlike conventional probes. Those probes are made of stainless steel tubing that cannot provide isolation from the pipe to the probe, thus causing incorrect measurement of pipeline gas. In contrast, Parker PGI’s ThermoSync® high accuracy RTD Probes use a precision RTD sensor in a unique two-piece protection tube. The body of the protection tube is made of heat insulating PVC (rated to 150°F) which helps block the pipe thermal transfer down the protection tube to the sensor. The 4-wire RTD sensor is mounted in a highly thermal-conductive body for maximum accuracy and response. When combined with a ThermoSync™ Thermowell, temperature error vs. flow rates, and probe response time are both significantly reduced.
