Refuel Control Solenoid Valve

Refuel Control Solenoid Valve

Refuel control solenoid valves are installed in the pilot lines between the refuel-shutoff valves and the fuel tanks. When powered open, they enable the refuel-shutoff valves to open for fueling. When closed, their refuel valves close also.

Descripción completa del producto

The refuel control solenoid valves are comprised of a single-coil solenoid assembled to an aluminum alloy valve body, with flareless AS5864 inlet and outlet fittings. They provide a straightforward, reliable method for remotely controlling the amount of fuel introduced to the center tank, or either wing tank.

Refuel control solenoid valves are installed in the pilot lines between their respective refuel shutoff valves and the fuel tanks. Each solenoid valve controls the bleed fuel flow coming from the pilot port of their refuel valve, and going to the fuel tanks. Commanding a solenoid valve open, by the application of 28 VDC electrical power, releases the pilot port bleed flow from its refuel valve, thereby causing the refuel valve to open. Removing the power from the solenoid valve causes the refuel valve to close at the desired fuel tank quantity.

APPLICATIONS: Commercial aircraft

FEATURES AND ATTRIBUTES:
Parker's compact refuel control solenoid valve has a corrosion-resistant, lightweight construction that weights less than 0.8lb. The solenoid valve shares a design and fielded service legacy of similiar, reliable Parker solenoid valves that goes back decades, and with a guaranteed mean time between failure (MTBF) of more than 160,000 operating hours minimum.

The solenoid valve is certified for conducted current lightning strikes, and use with all standard, available aviation fuels including Jet A, JP-5, JP-8, and TS-1. It can operate between 0 and 60 psig of fuel pressure in the pilot line, at fuel temperatures between -58 degrees F and +131 degrees F, and ambient operating temperatures between -67 degrees F and +185 degrees F.
