Parker Chomerics PREMIER™ PBT-250-FR is a single pellet, polybutylene terephthalate (PBT) based, electrically conductive plastic that delivers superior reliability, making metal to plastic housing conversions possible for demanding electronics applications.
PREMIER PBT-250-FR, which is specially formulated for applications with fuel exposure or outdoor fuel flammability concerns. Its flammability rating is UL 5VA rated down to 2.5mm wall thickness.
PBT is known for its excellent chemical resistance thereby making it an ideal material for environments that have exposure to automotive type fluids (gasoline, motor oil, glycol 50/50 mix, brake and transmission fluids).
The single pellet composition of PREMIER PBT-250-FR provides a more reliable solution to traditional two pellet blend (also known as “salt and pepper blend”) conductive resin systems. The easy processing of PREMIER PBT-250-FR allows for uniform filler dispersion and, as a result, tightly controlled electrical and mechanical performance throughout complex geometries. The improved hydrolysis resistance, electrical properties and manufacturability of PBT-250-FR makes it a superior choice for plastic housing.
This product was specifically developed to provide a more reliable solution to traditional cube blend conductive resin systems and a more efficient alternative to metal and non-conductive plastic housings.
