Descripción completa del producto

The potable- water fill valve and lavatory rinse/fill valve are installed in their respective service panels on the aircraft and provide frangible interfaces for attachment of the ground service cart hose. The inboard connection of each valve is designed to interface with the aircraft potable water fill line or the lavatory rinse/fill line, depending on the valve. The outboard frangible nipple provides the aircraft side of the service connection that is used to connect the ground service cart hose.

The potable- water fill valve and lavatory rinse/fill valve interface nipples are sized to mate with the potable water or lavatory service cart respectively. Once connected, the aircraft system can be serviced.

The interface nipple has a frangible section that is designed to break and completely separate if the ground cart drives away while still connected to the nipple. This prevents damage to the aircraft structure and minimizes down time since the nipple can be quickly and easily replaced.

The all stainless steel construction incorporates a dual seal configuration using a hinged, handle- operated cap with a positive- locking handle. This design has proven to be extremely durable and reliable through years of in service use with millions of flight hours. The cap handle also includes a Posi-liftTM cam feature insures ensures easy cap opening even with ice build-up at the nipple/cap interface.

Valves are available in 1one- piece and 2two-piece configurations. All of the lavatory rinse/fill valves are composed of a nipple and cradle, a removable outboard nipple, and a cap with two seals. The nipple & and cradle is mounted to the outboard side of the airplane’s service panel.
• For 1one-piece valves, the inboard end of the nipple and cradle has a fitting that connects to the aircraft’s fill hose.
• 2Two-piece valves have a separate inboard adapter that, depending on the model, is either mounted to the inboard or outboard side of the airplane’s service panel. The inboard end of the nipple and cradle has an o-ring seal and is installed into, and seals against, the inboard adapter. The other end of the adapter has a fitting that connects to the aircraft’s fill hose. This 2two-piece design allows the nipple and cradle portion of the valve to be removed from the aircraft for maintenance if necessary, without having to gain access to the back side of the service panel.

There are currently many inboard fitting configurations available to interface with the aircraft line. However, if necessary, a custom configuration for unique applications could can be designed.

APPLICATIONS:
• Potable- water fill valves: Applicable for any aircraft with a ground serviceable potable- water tank that uses standard ground service carts
• Lavatory rinse/fill valves: Applicable for any aircraft with a recirculating toilet system that uses standard ground service carts

FEATURES AND ATTRIBUTES:
• All stainless- steel construction for durability and corrosion resistance
• Removable outboard nipple for quick and easy replacement
• Breakaway (frangible) feature prevents costly service panel repairs
• Cap has two seals: primary o-ring seals against protected inside of nipple; secondary flat seal contacts top of nipple providing redundancy & and improved reliability
• Cap seals can be replaced on aircraft without removing the valve
• Positively retained cap seals will not pull off due to formation of ice in the nipple
• Posi-liftTM cam handle for easy cap opening even with ice build-up inside nipple

OPTIONAL FEATURES:
• An optional hold-open spring on the cap is available which will allow the unit to be installed in any orientation
• An optional heater is available and can be installed between the valve and the service panel. The purpose of this flat gasket-type heater is to prevent freezing of fluid that may have accumulated inside the valve. (If a sufficient amount of frozen fluid exists in the valve, servicing of the aircraft cannot occur until the ice block is removed).
• Custom configuration of the inboard fitting interfacing with the aircraft line
