AVAILABILITY: A sampling of Parker’s part numbers are shown in the configurator above for select materials and sizes. If the material and dimensions required are not shown, assistance with part number configuration may be found in the literature documents in the Product Support tab. To check current tooling, review the Part Number Look-up document. Contact Parker for requirements outside typical ranges.
Parker's Deep PolyPak® (DPP Profile) is a symmetrical profile squeeze seal for use in either rod or piston applications. Its rectangular shape ensures stability in the gland. The standard Molythane® shell provides high wear resistance and the O-ring energizer functions as a spring to maintain sealing contact under low pressure or vacuum applications.
The DPP Profile PolyPak seal's scraper lip design cuts fluid film and moves contamination away from the seal. The sharp edge of the lip is formed by a precision knife trimming process during manufacture.
A wide selection of sizes and alternate compounds allow this profile to match up with many hydraulic applications. The DPP Profile PolyPak seal is an economical choice as a stand-alone rod or piston seal. DPP Profile seals should not be installed back-to-back in bi-directional piston applications as a pressure trap between the seals may occur.
Standard Materials (Shell or Seal Body):

Please note: Pressure ratings shown are for predominantly dynamic applications. Where the application is predominantly static, as is typical in Oil & Gas applications, maximum pressure ratings may be extended by a factor of 2 to 3 (or greater), assuming nominal extrusion gap and operating temperature within limits. For assistance, please contact Parker’s application engineering team.
*Pressure ranges shown are for systems without wear rings. If using wear rings, please consult Engineering Section (Section 2) of Parker's Fluid Power Seal Design Guide, Catalog EPS5370.
Energizer Spring Element Materials:
• For seals with 4615 or 4622 PolyPak shell, the standard spring energizer is a nitrile o-ring
• For seals with 4651 PolyPak seal body, the O-spring energizer code must be specified. The standard code is "N" for nitrile o-ring
• For seals with rubber PolyPak seal body, standard spring energizer is an o-ring from the same rubber material family as the seal body.
Alternate Materials: For applications that may require an alternate material, please contact your Parker EPS representative.
