Descripción completa del producto

The Parker Village Marine Tec Bilgewater Membrane Separator is designed for maximum oil separation. VMT units have an advanced three-stage system optimizing the separation and removal of free and emulsified oils.

It is illegal to discharge into the open sea any liquid that has oil particles suspended within. Because Bilgewater (a mixture of fresh water, sea water, oil, sludge, chemicals and various other fluids) includes oil, it is absolutely necessary to utilize an oily water separator prior to reintroduction of the Bilgewater to the surrounding environment.

Bilge wells collect Bilgewater in a variety of ways: leakage in pipe lines, leaky pumps and valve glands, operation of machinery, over flowing tanks, operation of fresh water generators or boilers, fuel oil purifiers, leakage in fuel lines, or even oil spills. Bilge wells are helpful to store contaminated water but can result in a threat to the engine room. An overflow of the bilge well could cause a rise in the level of water up to or above the floor plates. This could lead to accidents, emergency situations, or even disturbance in the stability of the ship. For this reason, bilge wells are periodically emptied by pumping out the bilge with the help of bilge pumps.

Because Bilgewater cannot be directly pumped out into the sea, it is first passed through an Oily water separator where the level of suspended oil particles in the mixture is significantly brought down. This separator uses media to attract the oil, filtering it out of the intended discharge water. When the parts per million of oil particles in the mixture comes down to the requisite level, it is then allowed to be thrown overboard while the ship is en route.

Made with corrosion resistant materials using heavy duty construction. The quiet operation design uses permanent oil attractant media, automatic diversion valves, and advanced VMT membrane technology, resulting in an easy to use, fully automated, high quality, and affordable solution to meet any Bilgewater treatment needs.
